Interesting Note on SFA (SofDec Audio)

I didn’t notice how compact SofDec Audio is until I started playing with my Dreamcast SDK…. take a look at these numbers

First, I played with a test file (the hum that is in the background of the test video)

After I saw this, I thought I’d put it to a test by compressing a full length song.

I have never heard SofDec Audio before, so I do not know what the quality of it is but… 3.8MB and 1.4MB is a big difference when it comes to download times over dial up….
