Pulling in Old Posts

As I was putting my website back together, I noticed an SQL backup of an old Wordpress install I had. I was able to pull out my old archive of random posts of mine dating back to 2001. I am slowly getting them converted and posted here. 25 years sure goes by fast!

Not much going on. I finished building my house in Second Life, just need to get me some furnature in there, and I’m also working on my new website https://astinus.net/ (Dead Link) … and I bought an iPod O.O I bought an apple product hides face in shame

Other than that… not much else at this time.

I’ve been gone since Jan 2nd, but I’ve returned now and find myself with a slew of things to fix.

The Uploader

I just remembered that the uploader located on my old server (the one you all have downloaded as VMUPDU) was an old copy and contains the old VMI save data (therefore, Downloads only work on Planetweb)… I’ll fix that tonight

Also, you may have to add the .htaccess file with the proper mime types to the vmi and vms file.

On December 28th, 1999, I created a small little website on angelfire called Dreamserv. It was a website for ppl who didn’t have keyboards. It was going to be a place for quick links to places, but soon became a Dreamcast website.

We’ve had a few bumps in the road, but have maintained our course as a Dreamcast website (for a bit, we were X-Box only… and then we were multi-system). But, these last 2 years have been fun, and I hope for an even better 2 years down the road.

Kefka’s Tower Closing, Dreamserv-Gaming open

Just thought I’d let you know that Dreamserv-gaming is now open with it’s VMU Uploader/Renamer, and Kefka’s Tower is now closing.

I want to thank you for supporting Kefka’s Tower, a website made in July when we first broke out the script… the VMU Uploader I have at dreamserv-gaming also records the file size in blocks, and also the file name (the appears in the boot menu)… I also intend to install support to read the VMS header so you can also view the VMS Description which appears in the boot menu when viewing the saves on the site.
