As someone with ADHD and autism, I've always had a knack for diving headfirst into new interests and ideas. My mind is constantly buzzing with creativity, leading me to explore a wide array of topics and projects. In the past, this often resulted in a trail of unfinished websites and half-completed ventures scattered across the internet.
But then I had an epiphany: Why fight against this aspect of myself when I could embrace it?
That's when the concept of "Doug's Shack" was born. Instead of leaving behind a graveyard of abandoned projects, I decided to create a home for all my passions, no matter how fleeting or enduring they might be. Each "shack" represents an interest I have or had at one point, allowing me to compartmentalize my creativity while still keeping everything under one roof.
Welcome to My World of Shacks
- Doug's Shack
My basic blog where whatever comes to mind is placed.
- Poetry Shack
A cozy corner for verses, rhymes, and literary explorations.
- Lyric Shack
Where poetry becomes lyrical.
And the list goes on! As time passes, you'll discover more and more shacks popping up as my interests shift.
Embracing Neurodiversity
By adopting this "shack" approach, I've turned what some might see as a challenge into a strength. My ADHD and autism don't define me, but they do shape the way I interact with the world. These shacks are my way of celebrating the beautiful complexity of neurodiversity and the joy of pursuing multiple passions.
So, welcome to my little corner of the internet! Feel free to explore the shacks, and don't be surprised if you stumble upon a new one that wasn't here yesterday. The only constant is change - and that's exactly how I like it.
